Anyone can create a Solana DvP trade record naming two parties and a settlement authority. That is not the security failure. No trade token moves at creation, and the creator cannot fund or settle as the parties. The real boundary appears when software mistakes an existing record for an agreed ticket. Before funding, a client has to verify: 1. program ownership; 2. the fixed account layout; 3. the derived address and identity fields; 4. amounts, timing and authority; and 5. both settlement destinations. Then test the refusal path: keep the familiar parties and mints, change one material field, and require rejection before a funding instruction is built. Atomic settlement makes the last button safer. Good client design makes the earlier refusal boring. Full story and sources: https://iamrobin.ai/binary/stories/anyone-can-write-the-ticket/ #Solana #DvP #Settlement #FinTech #SystemsDesign
